The Apprentice: Martha Stewart Week 5
2005-10-20 / 12:05 a.m.

Good show. So many hateful idiotic people to make fun of (except Ryan and Marcela, the only genuine and mostly sane people in the group, and oddly enough I think that's going to work against them)... Where to begin?

There's Jen, who just got kicked off for being an inefficient manager. I can sympathize, but it's true, she couldn't control the loose cannon in her team: Jim, a crass, brash, boorish ad exec (who said, on his cellphone, to his wife who was about to have a baby: "Good luck with your task!" like she's going to give birth then pick up a clip board and tick the little box next to "Have baby." Check.)

True, he does make for much better tv than boring Jen. I can't wait for them to kick him off, though. Anyone who thinks he's smart or a good salesperson should also be kicked of the show for abject stupidity (that would be Bethenny--if you like him so much why don't you just marry him? I'm fairly sure his wife will be filing for divorce, unless she's not the discerning type).

Ooh, also anyone who thinks they're a fabulous sales person (but whose customers end up putting back the extra product she's thrown into their shopping carts)--Leslie, I'm lookin' at you!

Next, anyone with lousy taste in wallpaper, (Amanda and Sarah, ewww!) and bad hair (David, Dawna, adios).

That pretty much leaves Carrie, Howie, Marcela, and Ryan. Carrie's a big blank to me... I like the other three. I think it's too early to tell who's going to make it, anyway, and that's actually what's going to keep me watching--uncertainty.

Yawn. Nighty-night.
