A Lorelai Thing to Do
2005-10-19 / 10:41 a.m.

I now have this DVR cable box that records my shows for me. I am so impatient that when Gilmore Girls comes on, I actually stall for a few minutes before I begin watching so that I can fast-forward through the first few commercial breaks, and I feel like I'm watching it faster... It's an odd effect, and eventually I do catch up to the Live broadcast, but I can't help myself. I HAVE to do it this way. It's the Lorelai thing to do.

I really love how things are shaping up with Rory and Logan; I try not to think of the painful twists that the writers always manage to throw in to wrench our hearts out of our chests. A lot of it lately has had more to do with Rory's relationship with her mother than with her boyfriend. I love and hate the format they use where at the end of the episode, at the last second they always throw in something to hook you back next week. Most times it's done so well that you loathe the six days in between.

Next week: Rory turns 21.
